The work is a biographical narrative performance. Actress Berfin Zenderlioğlu, through her vocal performance, revives the spirit of Eyşe Şan and thus takes the place of Eyşe Şan and tells her story.
Eyşe Şan (* 1938, Diyarbakır; † December 18, 1996, İzmir) was a woman who dedicated her life to music. For her, music was both freedom and resistance. She struggled as a woman and an artist in a patriarchal and feudal society, in a path full of difficulties and obstacles such as the banning of the Kurdish mother tongue, censorship and state oppression. She was always the center of attention with her voice and beauty, but this also caused her problems. Nevertheless, she never gave up and mastered her music on an impressive path that began in Diyarbakir and traveled through Istanbul, Baghdad and Erbil to Germany. She eventually died in loneliness in Izmir.

Nazan Kesal plays the powerful female poet of Iran, Furuğ Ferruhzad, in her one-woman play "My Wounds are from Love". Written by writer Şebnem İşigüzel and directed by Berfin Zenderlioğlu, the play brings the breath of Furuğ Ferruhzad, the rebellious voice of Iranian poetry, to the theater stage. Produced by Poyraz Production, the play tells the story of all of us who blossom and wither in the same climate; those who live under oppression, those who are always found lacking and those who continue to live and speak out despite everything.
Waiting to be entrusted to the earth, intolerable even in death, Fürug Ferruhzad will write the poetry of his life in his own purgatory and will be on stage to whisper words that will stay with you. Fürug is coming to encourage us all, to say "The bird dies, remember the flight".
Mix Fest 2025, where multicultural music and art meet in Berlin, is preparing to offer an experience that crosses cultural boundaries. Selin Sümbültepe: A prominent name in the Turkish alternative music scene, she will take part in the festival with her original compositions.
